Organized by the Marko Marulić City Library Split, KROartikulacija is a four-part series created to help foreigners living in Split feel more at home and connect with Croatian culture. Led by Sara Dyson, founder of Expat in Croatia (the top English-language guide to Croatian bureaucracy and assimilation into the Croatian community), and a tour guide Gorana Gita Galić, the event includes lectures and a unique walking tour that dives into Split’s cultural mindset. The project is funded by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia.

About Sara Dyson

Born and raised in Texas, Sara Dyson moved to Croatia in 2012 without any connections or knowledge of the country or its language. In 2013, she launched Expat in Croatia, which serves as a comprehensive resource and compassionate advocate for those who wish to live in Croatia and assimilate into the Croatian community. In addition, Sara is the Board Secretary for the Zagreb Chapter of the Association for Croatian American Professionals and is also a member of ACAP’s Business and Entrepreneurship committee with the goal of bringing more qualified investment to Croatia. Sara also serves as VP of the Foreign Business Owner’s Association of Split-Dalmatia. Sara is particularly dedicated to uplifting, supporting, and protecting women in Croatia, through mentorship, fundraisers for Udruga domine to support victims of domestic violence, as well as EIC’s Women’s Month project, which highlights extraordinary female-led businesses.

Sara earned a Bachelor of Arts in Photojournalism and Political Science from the University of North Texas.
